At the Tuesday, Aug. 26 meeting of the Montgomery County Board of Education, Herbert A. Nelson, who has represented District 3 for six years resigned his elected position due to health reasons.
Nelson was appointed in 2019 to fill the unexpired term of Danny Kittrell. His seat was on the ballot in 2020 because it was the next election, and he ran unopposed.
He then appeared on the 2022 ballot because that is when the unexpired term would have normally been up for reelection…
