Family, friends remember life of Upstate father, husband killed while directing traffic

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Family and friends are remembering the life of an Upstate father and husband tragically killed while directing traffic.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said 40-year-old Cesar Humberto Pena was working for his employer, Greenville Water, when he hit by a pickup truck along East North Street on Aug. 21. He was wearing a reflective coat at the time of the crash.

Pena was taken to Prisma Heath Greenville Memorial Hospital where he passed away that Thursday evening.
