Mobile man found guilty in 2023 murder

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man has been found guilty in a 2023 murder, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

55-year-old Samuel Demetries Grace was found guilty of intentional murder in the death of Patrick Orr in April of 2023.

Orr was allegedly walking on Elmira Street when Grace pulled up next to him. Officials said a fight broke out between the two before Grace left the scene.

Grace then returned later and shot Orr, leading to his death, according to the DA’s office.

Officers were called to Springhill Medical Center, where they found Grace being treated for his injuries from the fight.
