3 people arrested after robbery in downtown Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers have arrested a man and two juveniles after a Thursday night robbery in the downtown area.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the 900 block of Government Street around 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 28 for a report of a robbery.

When officers arrived, they said they found that three people had robbed a man at gunpoint of his backpack, which had his phone and wallet inside.

Officers found the suspects, 19-year-old Jaharee May and two juveniles, around Palmetto Street and Roper Street.

The two juveniles were taken to Strickland Youth Center, while May was arrested and taken to Metro Jail.
