ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A troubled nursing home in Charlotte is the subject of another News10NBC consumer investigation. Weeds feet tall greet guests in the garden bed in front of Waterview Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Charlotte, hinting at the growing dysfunction inside. The stories shared with News10 NBC are now too numerous to count.
Over seven months, family members, employees and former employees have described deplorable conditions – residents lying in their own waste for hours. The latest inspection report goes further, with some residents unbathed for more than a month, legionella bacteria in the water that went unreported for months and suspicious resident deaths.
