BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A baby was hospitalized and multiple people, including children, were exposed to pepper spray after an alleged fight at a Longhorn Steakhouse in Upstate New York on Monday night, police said.
Police received reports of a fight at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Cheektowaga, a town just east of Buffalo, on Monday night. Officers arrived after the altercation ended, but an investigation determined that it began with a verbal argument between two women from two separate groups of diners: one group celebrating a birthday, and another seated near the front of the restaurant.
Police said it’s unknown if the women knew each other before the incident.
Ambulance rolls after crash with semi-truck
During their argument, another woman from the birthday celebration allegedly walked toward the front of the restaurant and, without warning, sprayed a substance into the face of the woman who was arguing with her friend, police said.
