ALPENA COUNTY — Michigan State Police troopers intercepted a 17-year-old runaway at Detroit Metro Airport after learning she planned to meet a man from Georgia she had been communicating with online.
According to an Aug. 29 news release from MSP, troopers from the MSP Alpena Post responded to a home in Sanborn Township on Aug. 28 after parents reported their daughter missing.
Using the Life360 cellphone application, they determined she was at the airport. While troopers were at the residence, the parents received a text message with their daughter’s flight information, showing she was set to leave for Atlanta within 45 minutes…
