Knox County to house 20 homeless veterans in homes built by students

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — A housing project championed by Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs will house 20 homeless veterans.

Operation Hero’s Hill will construct tiny homes, a computer lab and laundry facility for unhoused veterans in Knox County. Mayor Glenn Jacobs said they are committed in stopping the increase in the homeless population.

“Homelessness is an issue in our community, just like many others,” Mayor Jacobs said. “We have committed to zero homelessness among our veteran population, we have a strong focus on that.”…
