The National Weather Service (NWS) issued an updated flood warning at 9:23 a.m. on Thursday, in effect until 4:58 p.m. for Hillsborough County, Florida.
“Minor flooding is occurring for the Little Manatee River at Wimauma at US 301. At 11.0 feet, the river overflows its banks,” the NWS reported. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
