A South Toledo man contends the city is harassing him for playing drums in his garage when he only plays in the daytime and the noise is within legal limits.
City records show the neighbor complaining about Patrick Chaney’s drumming is Shaun Enright, the politically powerful executive secretary and business manager of the Northwest Ohio Building Trades Council, who lives behind Mr. Chaney’s Mapleway Boulevard home.
Mr. Chaney said police were sent to his home on Mapleway Boulevard more than a dozen times, including one June 27 in which city Division of Environmental Services staff took noise readings that a police officer then cited in a minor-misdemeanor summons landing him in Toledo Municipal Court…
