A middle school teacher in Palm Beach County has been arrested after she allegedly shot her father to death, police said.
Leah Verona Scott, 43, was arrested Tuesday by West Palm Beach Police on charges of first-degree premeditated homicide and exhibiting a weapon on or near school property, records showed.
According to an arrest report, Scott was on her way to visit her aunt and uncle when she spotted her father, Leroy Scott, doing handyman work outside a home in West Palm Beach Tuesday morning.
The father and daughter got into a verbal exchange, and when he started walking away she pulled a gun out of her waistband and shot him in the back, the report said…
