AUSTIN, Texas — A popular North Austin thrift store known for its eclectic style and art has taken down its iconic oversized dresser sculpture from the roof, a move prompted by roof warranty concerns raised by its landlord.
Ben Zimmerman, the sales manager for Top Drawer Thrift, said the 8-foot-wide, 6-feet-tall dresser sculpture has been a hallmark of the business decades before they moved to the store’s current location on Airport Boulevard a year and a half ago.
