E. coli spike prompts Boise River water quality testing at Ann Morrison

UPDATE (4:00 p.m. – 8/29/25):The City of Boise has updated the latest water-testing results from samples taken on Monday, August 25. As we reported, the Dept. of Environmental Quality requested they do more testing on Thursday, August 28.

Officials say a reading above 235 units per 100 milliliters can pose a health risk to swimmers. The screenshot below shows the latest update, Friday afternoon.

The Boise River’s most recent result was 95.9 units per 100 milliliters, well below that threshold.
