Twelve men arrested in child exploitation sting operation in Southwest Washington

Twelve men were arrested in Battle Ground last week during a multi-day operation targeting child sex predators, according to a Wednesday, Aug. 27, Washington State Patrol (WSP) news release.The primary crimes under investigation include attempted rape of a child, communication with a minor for immoral purposes, and sexual exploitation of a minor, according to WSP.The investigation, led by the agency’s Missing and Exploited Children Task Force, involved more than 20 law enforcement agencies and over 60 officers. Most of those arrested are accused of traveling to a predetermined location in Battle Ground, believing they would engage in sexual activity with a minor.
