Man with alleged history of grabbing women’s feet on college campuses arrested

PEMBROKE, N.C. (WBTW) — A man with an alleged history of grabbing women’s feet on college campuses in the Carolinas was arrested by University of North Carolina Pembroke police earlier this week, the school said.

Christopher J. Deas, 49, was arrested after a faculty member reported him being inside a classroom, UNCP said. He was charged with trespassing and is being held on a secured bond. He also remains under a criminal trespass that legally prohibits him from returning to UNCP property.

Deas has a history of appearing on college campuses in both North and South Carolina, including reports of grabbing women’s feet, according to UNCP. He is also known to return to campuses even after being banned.

UNCP said the UNC System Office has been notified out an abundance of caution to alert other universities.
