When people ponder an ideal place to live, they might think of nearby access to good schools and shopping, safety and tranquility, architectural and natural aesthetics, and maybe even status and tradition.
Sequoyah Hills must have all these, as it was ranked 39th in the country in a 2025 RE/MAX real estate agency’s list of “Most Envied Places to Live in America” following a survey of more than 3,000 people. It was the only community in Knoxville to be ranked in the listing of 170 places and the second highest overall in East Tennessee, behind 15th-ranked Lookout Mountain, a mountaintop community nestled among tourist attractions by Chattanooga.
