Deputies: Serial theft suspect arrested after Henrietta chase

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Brighton man with a lengthy record of theft-related arrests was taken into custody Wednesday after deputies said he stole merchandise from a Dick’s Sporting Goods in Henrietta and fled on foot through a shopping plaza.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were notified around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by Home Depot loss prevention at 770 Jefferson Road that 58-year-old Christopher Cole was trespassing on the property.

A loss prevention employee followed Cole to the nearby Dick’s Sporting Goods on Jefferson Road, where he was seen filling a duffel bag with items and leaving without paying…
