AUSTIN, Texas — Five people are facing capital murder charges following the shooting death of a man in northeast Austin earlier this month.
According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 3. Officers received a call from a man who reported to have been shot near the La Michoacana Market at 9811 North Interstate 35 service road northbound.
Officers arrived and the caller showed them his pickup truck, which had been riddled with bullet holes. Officers also found a man, identified as 49-year-old Miguel Mondragon, dead in the grassy area between the roadway and the front of the market…
