AUSTIN, Texas — On Saturday, venerable Austin institution Waterloo Records will celebrate moving to a new location with a grand opening. The celebration will feature DJs and will have hourly prize giveaways. There will be food trucks in the new space.
Additionally, it will be the first look at the new Waterloo, which features a gold record pressing station, a bar, a podcast studio, and more.
The record shop, which has been operating for over 40 years, and in the space at the corner of 6th St and N. Lamar for over the past 35, is now owned by Caren Kelleher, CEO of Gold Rush Vinyl and her business partner Trey Watson, CEO of Armadillo Records…
