Four Arrested in Connection to 2021 Pflugerville Homicides

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas—The Pflugerville Police Department has announced the arrests of four people tied to the 2021 deaths of Jerod Crespin, 39, and Elijah Stark, 18, who were reported missing and later found deceased in Tennessee and Williamson County.

After a multi-year investigation, detectives uncovered connections between the victims and four individuals, leading to the following arrests:

  • Phillip Jones, 39, was arrested for Murder (first-degree felony) and two counts of Tampering/Fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse (second-degree felony).
  • Rico Huey, 39, was arrested for Murder (first-degree felony) and two counts of Tampering/Fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse (second-degree felony).
  • Michael Leon Randle, 32, was arrested for Tampering/Fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse (second-degree felony).
  • Jacob Stilwell, 28, was arrested for Tampering/Fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse (second-degree felony).

Interim Police Chief Stephen Griffith stated that the arrests were a result of the “care, perseverance and diligence” of the department’s detectives. “Our community is safer today with these suspects behind bars after years of dedication from our tireless investigators,” he said.

The arrests were made possible through the collaboration of multiple agencies, including the U.S. Marshals, Texas Rangers, Travis County District Attorney’s Office, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, among others.
