ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – City leaders in Albuquerque met at a South Valley park Friday, where a beloved community member is being memorialized.
New program allows UNM student nurses to provide care to Albuquerque shelter residents
The pavilion at the Valley Gardens park has been officially renamed in honor of the late Delano García, a veteran, legislator, and lifelong public servant. García served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era and served two terms in the New Mexico House of Representatives. The dedication brought together family members, residents, and community leaders to celebrate García’s contributions to the city and state.
