The Capital Region lost a true hero on Wednesday night when, during a mid-flight rescue mission bound for Albany Medical Center, Flight Paramedic Kevin Robert suffered a medical emergency of his own.
Sadly, he lost his life trying to save someone else’s.
Robert’s Colleagues Post About Heartbreaking News
“We are heartbroken to share the passing of Flight Paramedic Kevin Robert, who died suddenly on the evening of August 27th following a medical emergency while serving aboard LifeNet 7-13, based in Ticonderoga, NY,” they stated.
Was Mid-Mission When He Fell Ill
According to the post, Robert was on a mission with his fellow crew, “a flight nurse and pilot providing life-saving care to a patient when he became critically ill.”
