BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Governor Gavin Newsom has unveiled an ambitious plan to combat crime in Kern County and throughout California, aiming to deploy more law enforcement officers on city streets.
The initiative, which was first introduced in Bakersfield and other cities last year, has already shown promising results, with Bakersfield experiencing its lowest crime rates since 2021.
