Google has awarded a $30,000 contribution to YAIPAK Outreach for their Foster Hope Initiative, a comprehensive digital inclusion program designed to empower children in the foster care system and at-risk youth with essential technology skills and resources.
“We’re proud to support YAIPAK’s Foster Hope Initiative because we believe every young person deserves access to technology and the skills to thrive in our digital world,” said Amber Tillman, Google’s head of Data Center Public Affairs. “At-risk youth face unique challenges, and this program addresses a critical gap by providing not just computers, but comprehensive digital literacy training and safety education. This aligns with Google’s commitment to ensuring technology serves as a bridge to opportunity, not a barrier.”
Major investment in digital equity
The Google contribution represents a significant commitment to addressing digital inequity among some of society’s most vulnerable young people. With the recent opening of the Leo Lillie Center, YAIPAK has created a dedicated hub for educational programs that foster community engagement and development tailored to children in foster care and those at risk.
This substantial funding will enable the organization to launch their ambitious digital inclusion program, providing both the technology infrastructure and comprehensive training needed to bridge the digital divide for underserved youth…
