Hot ’n Now Opens Wayland Location Built in One Day

WAYLAND, MICHIGAN – A once-iconic Michigan fast-food brand has returned in dramatic fashion, as a new Hot ’n Now restaurant was built in just one day this week.

Pop-Up Construction in West Michigan

Crews assembled the 737-square-foot, drive-thru-only restaurant at 1146 129th Avenue in Wayland, about 24 miles south of Grand Rapids. The building was pre-fabricated in Alpena, transported to Wayland, and pieced together on-site using a “plug-and-play” construction method.

The Wayland location, situated behind Noonday Market and across from Gun Lake Casino, is expected to open this fall. Hours will run 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Bringing Back a Nostalgic Brand

Monica King, CEO of Gun Lake Investments (GLI), called the project an exciting milestone in the company’s revival of Hot ’n Now.
