Monroe County’s only 24/7 addiction treatment center at risk of reducing hours due to funding cuts

GATES, N.Y. – Monroe County is at risk of losing its only after-hours addiction treatment center. Delphi Rise in Gates has been open 24/7, 365 days a year but the funding to support its off-hours work is running dry.

“As of January 1st, we don’t have a solution,” says Jennifer Cathy, CEO of Delphi Rise. Back in April, Delphi Rise lost a federal grant that had been helping to support the around the clock services they provide for people who are battling addiction.

“We know this model works for our community, we know the need is there, we know the opioid overdoses are decreasing because of the work that we’re able to perform in the community but we’re still uncertain of our future,” says Cathy…
