Detroit Cass Tech standout C.J. Sadler picked up on a tendency in the Toledo Central Catholic secondary early on in the fourth quarter of the Amazon Prep Kickoff Classic at Wayne State.
Sadler spent the entire game Friday, Aug. 29, on an island battling with Toledo CC cornerback Victor Singleton, who is verbally committed to Texas A&M. Sadler saw Singleton committing to every inside break and knew there was a chance for a deep shot to his side of the field.
Sadler went to the Cass Tech coaches and asked for a play. Sadler’s call was a fake tunnel screen to him coming in from the outside receiver spot, while slot receiver Will Sykes faked a block and then ran a fade to the pylon…
