Two injured after SkyWest flight plummets 4,000ft in seconds turning grown man into ‘ragdoll’ as pilot calls for help

TWO people have been injured when their flight plummeted mid-air, forcing passengers out of their seats and into the ceiling.

The incident took place on a United Express flight by SkyWest en route to Houston, Texas, from Aspen, Colorado, on Thursday.

Instead, flight 5971 was diverted to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, where the pilot logged an emergency call for medical assistance, warning ground crew of bleeding passengers.

Flight data showed that about 90 minutes after departing Aspen the aircraft plunged almost 4,000 feet in under a minute and continued to fall by over 25,000 feet for a further 6 minutes…
