Former director of the Cajundome reflects on Hurricane Katrina

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Today marks 20 years since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, with the Cajundome in Lafayette serving as a crucial shelter for thousands of evacuees.

Hurricane Katrina displaced more than 1.5 million people across the Gulf Coast, leaving many without homes and some without their lives. The former director of Cajundome, Greg Davis, reflected how the arena became a shelter for refugees.
