Milwaukee, Wis. – A 54-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2024 shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, a mother of eight, in a case that devastated her family and highlighted a history of domestic violence.
Sentencing and Guilty Plea
On Wednesday, Ronald Fuller, 54, received a 20-year prison sentence for the killing of LaKeyshia Timmons. He had pleaded guilty in April 2025 to second-degree reckless homicide.
In court, Fuller told the judge he made “a series of bad decisions,” admitting that while he was paranoid and using drugs, those were “not an excuse” for taking Timmons’ life.
“Had I not picked up the gun, we would not be sitting here,” Fuller said during sentencing.
