TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – It’s been 20 years since Hurricane Katrina tore through the Gulf Coast, killing nearly 2,000 and destroying the lives of tens of thousands more.
Katrina caused more than $120 billion in damage, making it the costliest in U.S. history. The record-breaking storm is still one of the deadliest to hit the country.
Cabrina Hayes moved to New Orleans in 1998 and lived there until Katrina struck in 2005.
