First Franchisees Confirmed for Painted Dough

Big things are happening at Painted Dough, a donut shop that started in Chino and just recently announced it would be offering franchising opportunities. According to NBC Palm Springs, the business’s first expansion will be in downtown Indio at 82-707 Miles Avenue.

Painted Dough offers a wide variety of options, including mochi donuts, fancy donuts, vegan choices, and Vietnamese iced coffee and teas. It was founded in 2016 by Danny and Kim Truong and was even awarded the title of Business of the Month by the City of Chino.

The company announced earlier this summer that its inaugural franchise unit will be operated by Gil and Marlene Ruttenberg. They have been introducing the brand to the area over recent months through various pop-ups and community events, including Palm Springs Village Fest and Indio Market Nights…
