Providence shooting sends 18-year-old to hospital

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — An 18-year-old man is in what police describe as stable condition after having been shot in Providence overnight.

According to Providence Police Chief, Colonel Oscar Perez, officers found the victim on the front walkway of the city’s central police station with gunshot wounds to his back.

Perez tells NBC 10 News the victim and a friend reported they were shot at while inside a vehicle near Whelan Road and Flower Street before driving to Central Station for help…
