Texas saw a battering on Saturday as massive storms moved through the state.
A flash flood warning was issued in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by the National Weather Service. On some parts of Interstate 35E near downtown Dallas, drainage systems were reported to have been overwhelmed and motorists were seen struggling to navigate the flooded roads.
Meanwhile, Houston was hit with thunderstorms and lightning that one storm chaser described as “blinding.”
Meteorologist Jennifer Gray says, “Strong storms impacted the Lone Star State yesterday and will continue today, as a pattern of unsettled weather continues. Heavy rainfall, gusty winds and dangerous lightning will continue Sunday. Flood watches are in effect for a huge chunk of the state, including the Hill Country.”…
