Popular eatery reopens post-fire, El Jefe’s back in business after roof blaze

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A popular South Bethlehem restaurant has officially reopened after a massive fire forced it to close its doors.

In May, a discarded cigarette sparked the blaze on the roof of the 510 Flats apartments, which also houses El Jefe’s Taqueria.

The fire displaced 135 people and impacted all of the businesses on the building’s ground floor…
