HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — An 8-year-old child died after drowning in a pool at a Hoover residence Saturday night.
According to the Hoover Police Department, Hoover Police and Fire were dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of River Lake Drive in the Southlake subdivision at around 8 p.m. Saturday due to an 8-year-old male being found unresponsive in a pool.
The child was pulled from the pool, and lifesaving measures were attempted. The child was transported to Children’s of Alabama by the Hoover Fire Department, where he was pronounced deceased…
