Colerain Township Man Charged With Assault on Officers After Police Shooting Incident

Colerain Township’s recent police shooting incident has resulted in resident Mark Bramble, 39, being held without bail after his initial court appearance this past Saturday. Bramble faces a slate of nine charges, which include felonious assault, aggravated menacing, and illegal possession of a firearm. According to WLWT, the situation unfolded on Friday evening when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call.

The confrontation reached a climax when, after a vehicle pursuit ended near Commons Circle and Mall Drive, Bramble allegedly pointed a firearm at the officers. Colerain police say that no officers were injured during the altercation, while Bramble was shot and sustained non-lethal injuries. He was subsequently transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, as stated by Cincinnati.com.

Further details released by authorities indicate that during the encounter, Bramble apparently took a fighting stance and even requested officers to provide him with a firearm to make it an even fight.
