Detroit Firefighters Confront Multiple Blazes, Save Occupied Home from East Side Inferno

Early on Friday, Detroit firefighters responded to several house fires, including a serious one on the east side. A vacant house on Helen Street caught fire around 5:30 a.m. and collapsed. The fire spread to a nearby occupied home, causing minor damage, according to CBS News Detroit.
