WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ/CNN Newsource/WKRC) – A man allegedly broke into a new burger restaurant and stole sentimental items, but paused the robbery to grab a drink before leaving.
Matashia Dykes is the owner of Just Smash It in Warren, Michigan, a burger restaurant that opened less than year ago and has expanded into two more locations in Detroit and Ford Field. Although business is booming, her morale took a hit after a break-in on Thursday at around 2 a.m.
“We literally give our extra food to homeless people,” Dykes said, expressing confusion about why the restaurant was targeted. “We go around the Jefferson area and we give away the food.”…
