Police locate fox acting strangely in Lancaster County neighborhood, give to Pa. Game Commission for testing

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The West Lampeter Township Police Department is alerting residents about several calls made over the last 24 hours about a fox displaying aggressive and unusual behavior in the Hunter’s Ridge neighborhood and surrounding areas.

At around noon on Saturday, Aug. 30, officers tracked the animal to Woodcrest Drive. Police say the fox was safely put down and handed over to the Pennsylvania Game Commission for testing. Results should be available within the next few days.

Authorities are also asking pet owners to keep an eye on their animals. Police urge residents whose pets had direct contact with a fox acting strangely in the area or any of its bodily fluids to contact the Pa. Game Commission at 833-742-9453 for further information on the results…
