Get ready for some major detours if you’re traveling through Arlington and Fort Worth in September. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced a couple of weekends when you’ll need to steer clear of westbound Interstate 30. Due to necessary repairs of the Randol Mill Road bridge, which sustained damage from an unfortunate encounter with a tractor-trailer back in June, all lanes of westbound I-30 between Fielder Road and Eastchase Parkway will be sealed off to traffic.
The road closure is set to occur from 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, lasting through to the early hours of Monday, Sept. 8, around 6 a.m., according to information from the City of Arlington. A second act of construction is slated to repeat the closure beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, and it’s expected to wrap up in the same early morning fashion on Monday, Sept. 22…
