LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — A shooting at a LaPlace business ended with several arrests, according to St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office.
According to deputies, at 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, they were called to the corner of Belle Pointe Boulevard and US Highway 61 in reference to a shooting in the area.

Upon arrival, deputies reportedly learned that two groups were involved in a fight earlier that day in a nearby neighborhood. They add that a second fight later happened where the groups allegedly began shooting at each other.
