Parks, libraries and other government-managed facilities in and around Tacoma will see reduced or limited hours this Labor Day weekend.
Here’s a roundup of all the schedule changes from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, and a list of when each agency will return to regular programming.
Libraries
All eight branches in the Tacoma Public Library system will be closed Saturday, Aug. 30 to observe the Labor Day holiday. The libraries, usually closed Sunday and Monday, will resume their regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2. All 19 branches in the Pierce County Library System, which serves cities in the county excluding Tacoma, will be closed all day on Monday, Sept. 1 to observe the holiday. The library system will resume regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Parks
