Fire truck hit on I-96 as first responders help different driver

BRIGHTON, Mich. – Authorities are once again reminding drivers of Michigan’s Move Over Law after another driver hit an emergency vehicle on a major freeway this year.

A fire truck that was working a crash on I-96 was hit by another vehicle in Brighton on Sunday, Aug. 31.

Fire crews were trying to slow traffic when the truck — parked on the shoulder with its emergency lights on — was struck by a Kia. First responders stopped working on the rollover crash to aid the driver of the Kia and the firefighter in the truck…
