1 killed in crash Sunday on Taft Highway

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Bakersfield man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Sunday on Taft Highway when his pickup veered into the opposite lane, according to California Highway Patrol.

The 25-year-old man, whose name had not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, officers said. It was unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. when the man’s GMC Sierra, heading west, traveled into the eastbound lane and collided with a a vehicle driven by a Taft woman, according to CHP…
