Labor Day: Confidence has increased for some afternoon showers and storms with some of these producing locally heavy rain. Highs will climb into the middle 80s with partly to mostly cloudy skies building in through the day.
This Week: Storm chances will be with us through midweek ahead of our next cold front that arrives on Thursday. Expect a few hit and miss afternoon storms on Tuesday and Wednesday as highs remain similar in the middle 80s while feeling a bit more sticky as well.
Drier conditions will settle in here for late week as the first cold front should knock out our humidity and thus rain chances do drop a bit. Expect more sunshine for Friday and the weekend with just a small chance for a downpour. Highs reach the 90s Friday and Saturday before a reinforcing shot of lower humidity and cooler air will arrive Sunday.
Tracking the Tropics: There is a tropical wave off the west coast of Africa that has a 40% chance of development over the next seven days.
