A teenager already facing a hit-and-run charge is back behind bars after skipping a court date.
Bryce Thompson, 19, of Summerfield, was being held without bond over the Labor Day weekend at the Marion County Jail following his arrest on warrants charging him with failure to appear.
Thompson is facing charges of hit and run, misuse of 911 and knowingly reporting false information about an alleged crime. In February, he allegedly dialed 911 and claimed he was the victim of a road rage attack. However, video surveillance corroborated his ex-girlfriend’s accusation that he had deliberately rammed her vehicle and then lied to a 911 dispatcher about a false road rage attack.
While he was free on bond in that case, he was arrested when he was caught with a vape pen and marijuana…
