Art and Light Gallery spotlights artist Christopher Rico at The Anchorage

Art & Light Gallery has teamed up with The Anchorage restaurant in Greenville to host an exhibit featuring works by Upstate artist Christopher Rico.

The exhibition is available virtually on the gallery’s website and through Oct. 7 at The Anchorage restaurant at 586 Perry Ave.

The horse as symbol for empire, the inversion as a reference to tarot, a nod to surrealism perhaps, an anxiety triggered by the visual situation itself. The job of the artist is to speak of their time; making the personal universal, and if one is very fortunate, enduring. I think these will mean different things to different people, and I don’t think anyone would be wrong.”…
