LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Flags across Kentucky were lowered to half-staff on Sunday in recognition of Overdose Awareness Day, which serves to raise awareness of drug overdoses, reduce drug-related deaths and recognize the families who have lost a loved one as a result of drug abuse. Groups in Louisville told stories of loss, recovery and plans to aid those struggling with addiction.
