Drivers risk $100 fines under new September 15 rule hitting only certain roads – it has a ’11 mph’ policy

DRIVERS who exceed the speed limit by more than 11 mph on a major road will soon run the risk of a hefty fine.

But there is some respite, as starting from September 15, a 60-day grace period will help motorists adjust to the law change – before fines of $100 come into force.

According to NBC Philadelphia, in a bid to improve safety, authorities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have adjusted the speed limit on the city’s most dangerous road: Broad Street.
